Where it all started
Spanning over two decades in the travel Industry, our focus has always been on growing outbound business from Europe.
Extensive travel across Asia, Australasia and The Indian Ocean was the beginning of our Journey.
Our early career working for world class Tour Operators gave us an insight to the travel business with positions held in reservations, product, purchasing and marketing, all with the aim of increasing passenger numbers.
Our MICE experience is both at buyer level and on property, not only working on leads but delivering events operationally from small business meetings to full property buyouts.
Our time working for hotel groups has been as sales leaders for properties in North Africa, the Indian Ocean and in South East Asia, both on property and at corporate level.
During the past two decades we have played key roles in launching , repositioning, refurbishing and rebranding products whether these are hotels, villas or cruises.
What sets us apart
Unlike many other representative offices, we understand our clients’ day to day quest for better revenue given we have been in their shoes.
The challenge of achieving total revenue while balancing ADR and occupancy, dealing with internal stakeholders such as revenue management, F&B or housekeeping, the daily meetings that drain time and finally the understanding of reports and statistics that provide business intelligence and rational for the decisions made.
Our prior experience allows us to understand these challenges and support our clients in achieving their goals.
While Canopy operates as a representation company we can also support clients with outsourced sales & marketing should they not have the budget to appoint or temporarily be without a sales leader.
We also know the difference a good representative can make.
Our experience as hoteliers saw us manage representative offices in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Scandinavia, Italy , Russia and the Middle East giving us an understanding of the complexities of the European Market . Canopy was set up as a UK Representative office but for many of our accounts we cover other areas of Europe where they need additional support.
Most importantly our focus is to work hard for a small number of accounts , dedicating time and resource to help them achieve incremental revenue from the markets we are appointed to cover.
